This senior technical leadership role shapes the Compute Platform supporting Affirm’s financial products. You will guide EKS architecture, Terraform automation, workload safety, observability, and operational excellence across a global fleet. The work spans cluster lifecycle, shared components, policy enforcement, and platform tooling.
Key Responsibilities: Architect EKS cluster lifecycle, node management, and shared components
Lead Terraform and Spacelift provisioning, upgrades, teardown, and self-service workflows
Enforce workload safety standards through automation and policy
Establish observability, audits, reporting, and risk measurement




Mentor engineers and participate in Kubernetes on-call response
Requirements: 10+ years software or infrastructure engineering experience
6+ years operating production Kubernetes at scale
Expert Go or Python proficiency building Kubernetes platform tooling
Robust AWS architecture experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, and EKS
Terraform, GitOps, policy enforcement, and observability experience
Lead EKS platform strategy at Affirm through Kubernetes expertise, infrastructure automation, workload standards, and technical leadership.
