Support acute care patients as a Respiratory Therapist I at Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, using respiratory assessments, care planning, and equipment expertise.
This temporary part time Respiratory Therapist I position serves a broad clinical program in Red Deer. Practice includes a 20-bed ICU, 17-bed NICU, pediatric care, trauma, operating room, and inpatient units. The schedule includes days, nights, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities: Assess patients across acute care clinical areas
Implement respiratory therapy plans and monitor progress
Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory interventions
Train providers in respiratory equipment use and care
Explain diseases, medications, equipment, and treatments
Requirements: Minimum one-year acute care experience in ICU, ED, NICU, or wards
Active or eligible CRTA registration
Recognized Respiratory Therapy school graduation
Current BCLS-HCP and NRP required
Ability to manage pressure and competing priorities
Bring acute care respiratory therapy experience, sound clinical judgment, and clear communication to varied hospital environments.
