This Senior Disability Case Manager position supports Wawanesa’s growing Claims team across Group and Individual business. You will assess Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Disability Income claims, including complex files and escalations. Success requires careful documentation, contract interpretation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Assess disability claims and render decisions within policy scope
Conduct complex investigations on existing case files
Review differing policy wordings for accurate decisions
Communicate claim decisions verbally and in writing
Maintain workload and claims adjudication records
Requirements: Three to five years of disability case management experience
Excellent ability to interpret and apply contract wordings
Solid deadline and time management capabilities
Strong attention to detail and relevant information identification
Customer service orientation with an empathetic approach
