Perform diagnostic testing at Whitehorse General Hospital using medical laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, and complex equipment. This is an on-site, full-time position.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Laboratory Technologist processes specimens for diagnosis and treatment. You will complete routine and specialized analyses, maintain quality control, document procedures, and report results. The position requires independent work without immediate in office pathologist support.
Key Responsibilities: Process, test, result, and report diagnostic laboratory samples
Perform routine and specialized procedures, including phlebotomy
Maintain ongoing quality control programs for accurate results
Maintain and troubleshoot complex laboratory instruments




Keep accurate procedure records and prepare concise reports
Requirements: Canadian certification as a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist
Current Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science membership
Recent experience in an accredited medical laboratory
Valid class 5 driver's license and patient confidentiality
Availability for all shifts and required on-call duties
Bring diagnostic testing, quality control, and equipment troubleshooting expertise to laboratory services at Whitehorse General Hospital.
