As Recreation Manager, you will plan, organize, implement, document, and evaluate programs in a senior care setting. You will guide recreation staff and volunteers while supporting resident and family satisfaction. The position requires post-secondary recreation education, health care experience, and robust leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Plan activities that encourage resident participation
Organize and evaluate resident programs
Hire, train, and engage recreation teams
Support resident and family satisfaction targets
Comply with regulatory requirements and resident rights
Requirements: Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation education
Minimum one year in a health care setting
Minimum two years in senior care programming
Passion for person-centered work with seniors
Activity Pro and Point Click Care proficiency is an asset
Use recreation programming, team leadership, and senior care experience to strengthen resident engagement and experiences at Extendicare.
