Support seniors at Oakwood Commons in Brantford as a Personal Support Worker, providing daily living assistance and compassionate resident care. This temporary part time float schedule runs from 12:00pm to 08:00pm.
Reporting to an Associate Director of Care, you will support residents in a long-term care community. The work includes personal care, mobility assistance, communication support, and meaningful connections. You will also encourage participation in resident programs and contribute to daily well-being.
Key Responsibilities: Support eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming according to care plans
Encourage residents to use glasses and hearing aids
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, oral, and dental support
Maintain access to walkers, canes,



and call bells
Encourage participation in individual and group programs
Requirements: Completed approved Personal Support Worker program
Internationally Educated Nurse with a nursing degree
Proficiency in simple treatment procedures and bedside care
Tact and diplomacy with seniors, families, and visitors
Successful Vulnerable Sector Check and Canadian work eligibility
