About the Role
Our client is an innovative research and development firm focused on creating sustainable chemical technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled Process Chemical Engineer for a remote contractor role. This position will involve contributing to the early-stage development and scale-up of novel chemical processes. You will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers, applying your expertise to translate laboratory findings into viable industrial applications. As a fully remote role, you'll have the flexibility to manage your workload from anywhere, utilizing our advanced digital collaboration platform. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of reaction engineering, process design, and scale-up principles. Support pilot plant operations and scale-up trials, providing process engineering input.



Analyze experimental data and provide recommendations for process improvements. Prepare technical reports and documentation for R&D; findings. Collaborate with research chemists and other engineers to achieve project goals. Stay updated on relevant chemical engineering literature and technologies. Ensure all development activities adhere to safety and environmental best practices. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively in a remote setting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information. Experience with laboratory and pilot plant operations is a plus. Must have a reliable work from home setup with internet connectivity. Contract duration and scope to be mutually agreed upon. Competitive hourly or project-based rate.
