The Government of Nunavut Custodian maintains a secure, comfortable, and sanitary school. This work supports student success and a pleasant workplace for staff. Responsibilities include preparing occupancy, securing the building, cleaning, safety, supplies, basic maintenance, building operation, and summer duties.
Main responsibilities: Ready the school building for occupancy each day
Secure the building at the end of each day
Maintain clean and safe conditions daily and weekly
Assist with supplies and basic building maintenance
Support safe and secure school operations
Requirements: Grade 6 education or equivalent life experience
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
Eligibility restricted to all Nunavut Inuit
Knowledge of Inuit communities and culture considered an asset
Bring dependable cleaning, safety, security, and basic maintenance abilities to support a functional Government of Nunavut school.
