Job Responsibility: :

The Patient Services Clerk plays a key role in supporting the Addiction Services programs within the Mental Health Department, including the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic, Withdrawal Management, and RVH's live-in addiction treatment programs.

These regionally funded programs offer low-barrier access to specialized addiction support for individuals aged 16 and older who are seeking help to reduce or change their substance use. As the Patient Services Clerk you will be is responsible for reception, patient registration and bookings, triaging bookings, communication and clerical duties of the program in accordance with the organizational philosophy, policies and standards of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements;
Medical Office Administration Certificate/Diploma or equivalent program essentials
Office Administration experience in a hospital setting or equivalent competencies
Computer literacy Microsoft Office, keyboarding skills - 50 wpm essential




Experience with Microsoft Excel considered an asset
Current experience with Meditech including registration, EMR, scanning, order entry and CWS appointment scheduling an asset
Processing of physician orders considered an asset
OTN scheduling considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft Teams an asset
Ordering unit supplies/Plexxus ordering an asset
