Analytical chemistry and cosmetic formulation development define this entry-level Associate Chemist role at DECIEM in Liberty Village, Toronto, fully in-office.
As part of the Analytical Development team, you will support cosmetic formulation development through laboratory testing and characterization. The 12-month contract suits recent graduates with chemistry foundations and hands-on experience in chromatography, GxP, and analytical techniques. DECIEM is home to The Ordinary, NIOD, and AVESTAN.
Key Responsibilities: Test raw materials, finished products, and stability samples
Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods
Prepare analytical protocols and technical reports
Maintain instruments and investigate OOT and OOS results




Follow laboratory practices and support SOP development
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or related field
Minimum two years’ analytical, R&D;, or Quality Control experience
Knowledge of cGMP, GLP, ICH, USP/NF, BP, EP, and ISO
Experience with statistical analysis and data trending
Chromatographic or laboratory software experience is advantageous
