This senior technician role focuses on transformer repair and testing. You will use electrical test equipment, apply electrical theory, diagnose issues, and support root-cause diagnostics. The work includes reporting, non-conformity identification, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preliminary inspections on power transformers
Set up and complete required electrical tests
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Conduct in-progress testing during assembly and dry-out
Complete final acceptance tests to industry standards
Requirements: Secondary school diploma, Grade 12
Minimum five years of transformer testing experience
Robust knowledge of electrical theory
Experience using transformer test equipment
Ability to read drawings and diagrams
Bring transformer testing, electrical diagnostics, and reporting expertise to a senior technician position supporting complex equipment.
