Areix is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial information, support strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with Canadian financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP / IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key metrics to support business decisions
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture
Support process improvements and implementation of financial systems
