As a Security Practitioner, you work under Supervisor direction to provide holistic security for the Queen's University community. You safeguard faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property while following the university security program and applicable laws. Respectful communication with victims, students, employees, visitors, and community partners remains central to the work.
Key Responsibilities: Provide safety and security under Security Supervisor direction
Assist investigations and prepare statements describing observations
Collect evidence while respecting people affected by incidents




Engage campus communities through events and foot patrols
Participate in internal and external committees
Requirements: Understanding of university security policies and procedures
Compliance with applicable regulations and laws
Respect for diverse campus community members
Cooperative approach with community partners and colleagues
Availability for irregular overtime and emergency response
Apply security procedures, investigative support, and respectful engagement to help maintain a safe Queen's University campus community.
