YMCA BC seeks a permanent, part time School Age Leader for its before and after school program. This position supports children with diverse needs through child-centred programming, positive behaviour guidance, and individualized support. You will collaborate with staff, families, schools, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities: Design and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities
Deliver developmentally appropriate programs aligned with standards
Support positive behaviour and guide conflict resolution
Build respectful relationships with children and families
Maintain clean, safe, welcoming program spaces
Requirements: Confidence planning inclusive activities for children
Experience supporting children with diverse needs
Understanding of whole child and youth development
Ability to prepare snacks and support upkeep
Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Use child-centred leadership, inclusive activity planning, and positive behaviour guidance to support YMCA BC programs in Surrey.
