Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Jr Accountant role based in Toronto, ON, requiring working proficiency in both Korean and English. The Jr Accountant will support public practice engagements, including preparing financial statements, assisting with year-end working papers, and performing account reconciliations. Daily responsibilities include recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, processing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting corporate and personal tax return preparation. The role also involves communicating with clients in Korean and English to gather information, respond to inquiries, and clarify documentation needs. The Jr Accountant will collaborate with senior accountants, follow firm processes,



and help ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax standards.
Qualifications
Working proficiency in Korean and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues in both languages.
2–3 years of experience in a public accounting practice, including exposure to financial statement preparation and year-end engagements.
Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, and experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Experience with accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, tax preparation programs) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Robust analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Effective interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward a professional accounting designation is an asset.
Familiarity with Canadian tax rules and compliance requirements for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses is an advantage.
