As a Personal Support Worker, you care for residents according to individual care plans and assigned direction from the RPN. Daily responsibilities span personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, meal trays, call bells, records, and reporting. The position suits someone keenly interested in working with seniors and capable of adapting to change.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver and receive reports at shift changes
Follow assignments from the RPN charge nurse
Set up, deliver, and return meal trays
Notify supervisors during emergencies and assist with interventions
Record daily information on resident checklists
Requirements: Health Care Attendant or Personal Support Worker Certificate
Equivalent experience may be considered
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Two or more years experience, preferably geriatric
Empathy and understanding of elderly needs
Use senior care experience, empathy, and clear reporting to deliver dependable resident support under nursing supervision.
