Carbonear General Hospital Laboratory Technologist I Laboratory Services
- Core Lab Temporary, Full time (Until October 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension) Hours : 70 bi-weekly (8 hours, Shift Work; Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends)

Salary:
LX27 (CAD 32.16
- CAD 40.20 per hour) The following Incentive may be applicable, and will require a Return in Service Commitment: ~ Signing bonus of $7,000 Posted Date : 2026-10-27 Rotating through Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and if required, Microbiology, the Laboratory Technologist I performs routine and complex laboratory testing; performs phlebotomy when required; runs Quality Control following established procedures and keeps appropriate documentation.



Performs routine preventative maintenance procedures on various laboratory instruments and keeps appropriate documentation. The candidate promotes Patient Safety initiatives through strict application of NL Health Services Policies. Graduation from a recognized (accredited) program with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or a degree in Medical Laboratory Science is required. Successful completion of the Medical Laboratory Technologist national examination in the applicable field(s) of practice, as recognized in Canada, is required. A satisfactory record of work performance is required. *
