Serve diverse newcomers through primary care, health promotion, and prevention at Somerset West Community Health Centre’s Ottawa program.
This permanent 0.3 FTE Physician position works within the Community Health Centre model. The successful candidate provides client-centred care independently and alongside an interprofessional team. Experience serving culturally diverse, underserved, or marginalized populations is important.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver health promotion, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
Provide patient education and support informed decisions
Conduct clinical procedures within scope of practice
Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation
Participate in program development, quality improvement,



and evaluation
Requirements: Comprehensive primary care experience in community or interdisciplinary settings
Understanding of the Community Health Centre care model
Knowledge of health equity and trauma-informed care
Strong assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral skills
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
