As Principal Product Security Researcher, you will own research across Chainguard’s product portfolio. You will translate threat intelligence into strategy, roadmap decisions, and pragmatic defenses. The work spans product security, application security, secure architecture, software supply chains, and organizational risk management.
Key Responsibilities: Own Chainguard’s product security research agenda
Research emerging software supply chain and product security threats
Shape product roadmaps, architecture decisions, and long-term security plans
Develop mitigations across people, process, and technology




Represent Chainguard through talks, conferences, and thought leadership
Requirements: Deep product or application security experience
Track record leading research or threat-focused work
Expertise across secure architecture and software supply chains
Ability to influence executives and senior engineering leaders
Comfort owning ambiguous, cross-functional security problems
Apply product security research, threat analysis, and strategic leadership to help Chainguard anticipate risks and protect customers.
