WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus) Reporting to the Clinical Manager of the Child & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry (CAIP) unit, you will work primarily in our inpatient services working with children & adolescents up to 17 years of age; As the successful incumbent you will work in collaboration with team members, families and other hospital and community service providers in providing patient care. You will participate in service committees and quality improvement initiatives as assigned. Minimum of Child & Youth Worker Diploma required ~ Membership in the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Workers in valuable standing required ~3-5 years experience in a mental health setting with demonstrated skills in working with children and adolescents and families required ~ Excellent skills in recreational therapeutic life skills programming and group skills; Knowledge of children’s psycho-social development required ~ Proven ability to design programming to meet group needs and lead therapeutic groups ~ Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team along with other health care providers, community service and school board providers ~ Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Grand River Hospital Mental Health & Addiction Program recovery & resiliency philosophy ,
