Design high-speed optical modules through mechanical design, thermal management, and packaging at Advanced Microsystems Technologies, AMT. Work across optical product development and manufacturing programs.
As a Senior Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support product development, current product introduction, and manufacturing. Your work will span QSFP and OSFP modules, mechanical housing design, PCB packaging, flex circuits, and optical interconnects. You will contribute to multidisciplinary development teams serving optical communication, datacenter connectivity, sensing, medical, and other products.
Key Responsibilities: Design mechanical housings and integrate optical modules
Develop thermal management and packaging for small form factors




Verify designs through prototyping, testing, and characterization
Define tooling and fixturing for production
Coordinate technical activities and project timelines
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Five or more years in product development
Transceiver design experience
AutoCAD or SolidWorks design experience
FEA experience using SolidWorks, Ansys, or similar tools
