Support Firebag SAGD growth projects from Suncor’s Calgary head office using operational readiness and project integration expertise. Some travel is required.
As Senior Operations Advisor, you will support projects from concept development through execution, commissioning, start-up, and closeout. Apply a Ready for Operations mindset while coordinating Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and stakeholder deliverables. The role supports continued growth of the Firebag asset.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and steward Ready for Operations plans through project stages
Plan Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability deliverables
Interface with Firebag, EPCs, stakeholders, and subject matter experts
Coordinate procedures and training plans with commissioning teams
Manage scope, risks, costs, quality,



safety, and schedules
Requirements: Engineering certificate, trade certification, or relevant degree
Minimum seven years of progressive SAGD plant operations experience
Experience supporting RFO, commissioning, start-up, or project phases
Understanding of asset lifecycle and operational integration principles
Technical interpretation, communication, and cross-functional leadership abilities
Bring SAGD operations, project readiness, and stakeholder engagement expertise to advancing Firebag growth projects for Suncor.
