Shape the future of Vancouver Island Crisis Society in Nanaimo through nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and community advocacy.
This full-time Executive Director leads a financially stable social profit organization serving Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, British Columbia, and Canada. You will work with the Board, more than 40 staff, volunteers, funders, governments, and crisis-sector partners. The mandate includes strengthening services, partnerships, resources, and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities: Refine and implement the Society’s strategic plan
Guide leadership, staff, volunteers, and Board governance
Secure operational funding through grants and partnerships
Oversee Community Education and program promotion
Manage leases, insurance,



technology, and operational needs
Requirements: Leadership experience in social profit organizations preferred
Experience managing organizational budgets and fiscal responsibilities
Experience working with volunteer Boards and organizational change
Degree in business administration or social sciences preferred
Robust organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Use nonprofit governance, fundraising, and strategic leadership to advance VICS services from its Nanaimo headquarters.
