Valmet’s Services team supports large-scale papermaking equipment at customer facilities. This Field Service Technician role focuses on control systems, optimization, programming, and software troubleshooting. You will also lead in office repairs and preventive maintenance under contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Support customer control systems and optimize their functions
Lead on-site repairs at customer facilities
Perform preventive maintenance according to contract requirements
Troubleshoot programming and software-related issues




Prepare timely field reports with improvement recommendations
Requirements: Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree
Three to five years’ technical experience in papermaking or related fields
Understanding of PLC programming and Rockwell software
Papermaking machinery knowledge is an advantage
Authorization to work in the United States and travel eligibility
Bring controls expertise, PLC programming knowledge, and field service experience to Valmet’s North American customer sites.
