Lead dam assessments and structural design with CIMA+ across Canada. This hybrid Ontario-based prospect emphasizes hydraulic structures, analysis, and rehabilitation.
As a Structural Engineer – Hydropower and Dams, you will support CIMA+’s specialized Energy & Resources team. Your work will address dams, spillways, intake structures, powerhouse buildings, and gate systems. You will collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams while developing technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities: Perform stability analyses for hydraulic structures and dams
Assist feasibility studies and preliminary and detailed designs
Conduct dam safety reviews and condition assessments
Review construction methods and assist cost estimates




Coordinate project delivery across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Requirements: Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree with structural specialization
At least eight years’ infrastructure design or rehabilitation experience
Ontario Professional Engineer registration
Hydraulic structures or dam engineering experience strongly valued
Knowledge of seismic engineering and dynamic analysis is an asset
Use dam safety, stability analysis, and rehabilitation knowledge to deliver hydraulic infrastructure solutions with CIMA+.
