As a Senior Software Engineer, AI, you will design, build, operate, and evolve production systems for legal information. You will process semi-structured documents, caselaw, citations, and evaluations across jurisdictions. The work includes Python, AWS, retrieval, prompt design, model integration, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities: Design backend services and pipelines for legal document extraction
Build LLM workflows using OpenAI and AWS Bedrock
Improve citation recognition, resolution, and treatment detection
Measure model quality with heterogeneous documents and evaluation sets
Ensure secure, observable, reliable,



cost-efficient production operations
Requirements: Four or more years in software, backend, data, or AI systems
Solid Python proficiency and production systems experience
Experience with semi-structured data, extraction, classification, or entity resolution
Knowledge of AI/ML, LLM systems, AWS, SQL, and scalable data processing
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Apply senior engineering judgment to Python, LLM, AWS, and legal data systems supporting Clio's Knowledge Extraction Team.
