Lead cyber risk reduction through threat detection and vulnerability management as a senior technical resource within Cenovus Cyber Security Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operation, this senior technical role supports security operations and cyber risk initiatives. You will apply expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response, Security Information and Event Management, firewall security, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management. The work strengthens detection and response capabilities while advancing cybersecurity controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities: Identify, reduce, and mitigate cyber risk across the organization
Enhance security posture through analytical and operational security expertise
Collaborate with technology teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners




Deliver security initiatives and support regulatory compliance requirements
Communicate technical risks and recommendations to diverse audiences
Requirements: Minimum 12 years of cybersecurity experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management
Expertise in vulnerability management and threat hunting
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm
Expertise in EDR, firewall management, and incident response
Bring senior cybersecurity operations expertise, threat detection capability, and vulnerability management experience to Cenovus’s security team.
