Support bridge construction safety through incident investigation, industrial hygiene, and compliance monitoring at CDB’s St. Catharines project.
As Health & Safety Coordinator, you will monitor the site-specific H&S; Plan under the Health & Safety Manager. Construction Demathieu & Bard’s project continues through the anticipated 2032 completion year. The position requires in-person work at the Garden City Skyway, with occasional head office visits, weekend, or night shifts. Strong candidates understand occupational safety, environmental protection, technical documents, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct weekly project and facility safety inspections
Accompany clients during twice-weekly site inspections
Organize WHMIS, fall protection, PPE, and first aid training




Deliver quarterly Safety Stand-down information
Promote HSE values across site activities
Requirements: Mandatory National Construction Safety Officer certification
Five years’ qualified civil or heavy industrial experience
Knowledge of industrial hygiene and environmental protection programs
Ability to interpret and communicate Job Safety Analyses
Understanding of OSHA, EPA, and related regulations
Bring NCSO credentials and heavy construction knowledge to inspections, training, HSE communication, and bridge project compliance.
