The Mortgage Underwriting Manager leads Underwriters and Mortgage Associates while overseeing credit quality, consistency, and efficiency. You will guide complex decisions, maintain lending standards, and support exceptional service. The position combines people development, risk management, and operational improvement across mortgage underwriting.
Key Responsibilities: Coach, mentor, and develop Underwriters and Mortgage Associates
Escalate complex applications and exception requests
Ensure consistent underwriting policies and lending guidelines
Oversee workflows, pipelines, service standards,



and turnaround times
Build relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders
Requirements: Five-plus years of alternative mortgage market experience
Two-plus years of mortgage underwriting experience
At least one year leading, coaching, or managing teams
Knowledge of credit risk, AML, ATF, and fraud indicators
Experience with Fundmore and Microsoft Office 365
