Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will provide excellent care to a diverse inpatient population. You will work on 3B and 3C as departmental needs require. The position emphasizes mental health nursing principles, patient assessments, teaching, and therapeutic relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Provide excellent care to a diverse inpatient population
Work on 3B and 3C as departmental needs require
Promote mental health through therapeutic relationships
Complete patient teaching and patient assessments
Work independently within a Total Patient Care modality
Requirements: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current BCLS certification
Two years of current psychiatric mental health nursing experience
CPI certification or completion within six months
Knowledge of mental disorders and nursing interventions
Bring psychiatric nursing knowledge, patient assessment skills, and therapeutic communication to inpatient mental health care at Birchmount.
