LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is seeking one Medical Laboratory Technician for its microbiology discipline. The position runs from 14:30 to 22:30 based on operational needs, with a contract ending December 1, 2027. Work includes specimen handling, data entry, manual and automated testing, and quality assurance under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Handle and prioritize specimens according to LifeLabs procedures
Enter specimen data and triage testing appropriately




Perform manual and automated testing under supervision
Prepare reagents and controls using defined procedures
Identify incidents and escalate non-conformances appropriately
Requirements: High school diploma
WHMIS training
Registered Laboratory Assistant certification optional
Previous chemistry laboratory experience preferred
Ability to handle biohazardous materials and chemicals
