Serve children and families as a Registered Practical Nurse based out of Ottawa, using assessment, care planning, and evaluation skills.
CHEO seeks a nurse who applies the nursing process within pediatric patient service settings. You will deliver care consistent with College of Nurses of Ontario, hospital, and unit standards while supporting wellness and optimal quality of life. Solid communication and culturally sensitive practice are essential.
Key Responsibilities: Assess patients and families’ nursing care needs
Implement individualized nursing care plans
Evaluate care for individual patients and families
Promote wellness through appropriate learning experiences
Develop quality professional nursing practice
Requirements: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current CPR Certification
At least two years of pediatric experience
Demonstrated strong family-centered care skills
Vulnerable Sector Check
Use pediatric nursing knowledge, careful assessment, and family-centered education to support patients and families through CHEO care.
