Provide patient-oriented nursing care as a part time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, applying clinical judgment and person-centered practice. Support residents through planned care, treatments, and medication administration.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers goal-directed care under provincial standards. You will coordinate care plans, communicate changes, and work with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. The position includes resident education, documentation, and clinical coordination.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
Complete assessments, care plans, service plans, and documentation
Evaluate care effectiveness and communicate required changes




Coordinate resident assignments for timely nursing services
Manage significant condition changes and medical emergencies
Requirements: Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Robust clinical knowledge, communication, and critical thinking skills
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening issued within six months
Use nursing expertise, care coordination, and clinical documentation to support safe, person-centered resident care at Extendicare.
