Support meaningful senior programs as a part time Recreation Aide with Extendicare, using compassion, communication, and organized activity planning.
Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will help plan, organize, implement, and evaluate activities for residents. The work includes resident outings, activity assessments, records, communication, and meal assistance. You will collaborate with the Recreation Manager, Executive Director, residents, families, volunteers, and departmental staff.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement meaningful programs with recreation leadership
Prepare, conduct, and evaluate daily resident activities
Maintain assessments, evaluations, participation records, and charting
Facilitate scheduled and pre-arranged resident outings




Communicate upcoming events with residents, families, volunteers, and staff
Requirements: College diploma in recreation, leisure studies, gerontology, or equivalent
Previous experience working with seniors
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid provincial driver's license and required certificates
Bring compassionate senior support, activity planning, documentation, and communication skills to Extendicare's resident-focused recreation programs.
