Wage: $36.14 per hour + advantages according to Union Local 30 Provincial Collective Agreement
(full-time position)
Location of Work: Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Province of Ontario
Job Description Provide assistance to skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs, flashings and surfaces
Assist with the installation, repair and replacement of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt and gravel
Assist with the application of waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
Sweep and clean roofs to prepare them for re-roofing or the application of new roofing materials
Remove old roofing materials
Pour hot asphalt and tar
Clean and maintain equipment
Set up ladders, scaffolds,



and hoists in place for taking supplies to roofs
Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in construction
Ability to accurately measure and cut roofing materials to specified sizes
Ability to safely lift and transport roofing materials
Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Capacity to work together with other people
Proficiency in understanding the importance of safety in the workplace
