This full time Educational Assistant position works 35 hours weekly across a 10-month term, beginning immediately with unknown duration. You will assist teachers delivering prescribed programs in individual and group settings. The work includes supporting Individualized Education Plans, student transitions, behaviour management, communication logs, and classroom routines.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with prescribed programs for special needs students
Support lessons, projects, crafts, charts, and teaching materials
Observe and report student development and behaviour
Provide feeding, toileting, lifting,



and clothing-change assistance
Support supervision, field trips, meetings, and classroom tasks
Requirements: Completed post-secondary Educational Assistant program or equivalent
Minimum one year experience working with children
Ability to perform physical tasks including toileting and lifting
Positive, empathetic, discreet, and independent approach
Basic computer software knowledge and relevant training preferred
Bring empathy, discretion, and student-support skills to special needs education within the Catholic district school board.
