Nova Scotia Health seeks a Therapeutic Assistant for Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work under recreation therapist or regulated health care professional direction. The position supports patients, families, and interprofessional team members while carrying out individual treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate patient participation in leisure and recreation activities
- Support individual treatment programs within recreation therapy frameworks
- Communicate patient-specific information to treatment team members




- Support patient plans of care and successful engagement
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams

Requirements:

- Grade XII plus year one Therapeutic Recreation program completion
- Therapeutic Recreation Foundations Course completion
- Current CPR certification
- Behaviour Modification Skills
- Acute care knowledge and responsive behaviour understanding
