Provide nursing care at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Satellite Health Facility using clinical assessment and rehabilitation-focused practice. This regular full-time position includes rotating day and night shifts.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will support non-acute patients with easy to complex medical issues while awaiting alternate services. You will provide preventive, therapeutic, palliative, and rehabilitative care for less complex clients. Collaboration with Registered Nurses supports safe, effective care and appropriate responses to changing acuity.
Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for clients with predictable outcomes
Assess needs and support treatment of health conditions
Recognize changes in client acuity or complexity




Consult Registered Nurses about changing care needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team members
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Practical nursing education with required medication administration preparation
Current BCLS/HCP certification
Knowledge of senior care, transfers, and lifts
Effective communication, organization, and computer skills
Bring practical nursing expertise, clinical assessment, and collaborative care to patients at the Satellite Health Facility in Hamilton.
