Support HSE management systems and ISO compliance onsite at Thales’ Halifax waterfront operations in Wilkinson, Canada. Use safety expertise across naval operations.
The Waterfront Health Safety and Workplace Specialist works with HSE and Facilities leadership and the Halifax Operations Manager. The position supports risk assessments, environmental analysis, incident investigations, training, documentation, and continual improvement. It also helps maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support HSE management system implementation and continual improvement
- Prepare evidence and walkthroughs for ISO audits
- Investigate incidents, complaints, and significant events
- Coordinate HSE training records and committee support
- Review Job Hazard Assessments and contractor documentation
Requirements:
- Two to five years’ safety management systems experience
- Strong skills across Microsoft Office platforms
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
- Eligibility for Controlled Goods and Canadian NATO Secret clearance
