Protect Hootsuite systems through incident response, security monitoring, and alert triage in a hybrid Vancouver or Toronto role. Analyze threats and support response operations.
As a Junior Cyber Incident Response Analyst, you will help secure Hootsuite’s product, services, and IT infrastructure. The role includes network fundamentals, malware analysis, de-obfuscation, and security operations. You will report to the Director, Information Security while supporting corporate and customer-facing systems.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor daily security operations for corporate and customer-facing systems
Analyze and triage incidents involving potential attacks
Escalate alerts from MSSP and security tools
Execute operational runbooks during incident response




Participate in Hootsuite’s security incident on-call rotation
Requirements: One to two years in security or related roles
Degree or diploma in information technology, computer science, or engineering
Knowledge of network protocols, OSI fundamentals, and log formats
Cloud, CI/CD, Unix or Linux experience, preferably AWS
Scripting experience with Bash, Python, YAML, or PowerShell
Bring incident analysis, security monitoring, and technical response skills to Hootsuite’s hybrid security team in Vancouver or Toronto.
