The Opportunity
As a Lifestyle and Programs Supervisor at Chartwell, reporting to the Lifestyle and Programs Manager, you’ll coordinate the day‑to‑day delivery of meaningful programs that reflect residents’ interests and the six dimensions of wellness. You’ll work directly with residents while guiding activity aides and volunteers, supporting safe program delivery, and helping the Manager maintain an engaging calendar.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate programs across the six dimensions of wellness

Prepare program calendars, newsletters, events, outings, and resident communications

Assign work and guide, orient, and train activity aides and volunteers

Build resident relationships, respond to concerns, and elevate significant issues

Coordinate volunteers and community partners to expand program opportunities

Monitor program safety, participation, quality, risks, and improvement opportunities

What You’ll Bring

Post‑secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or relevant experience

One to three years of experience in retirement living, long‑term care, or healthcare

Experience coordinating programs and guiding employees or volunteers

Understanding of aging and respect for residents’ backgrounds, interests, and abilities

Strong planning, communication, service, computer, and community‑relations skills

Additional Requirements

Ability to work flexible schedule as needed

Physical ability to meet job demands, including standing, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment

Preparedness to respond to emergency situations

Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
