Reporting to Diagnostic Imaging leadership, the MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures and assists radiologists with specialized procedures. The position includes patient care assessment, MR safety, screening, PACS documentation, equipment maintenance, and multidisciplinary collaboration. A strong understanding of MR physics, contrast complications, and image quality supports consistent diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all MRI procedures according to practice standards
- Assist radiologists with specialized procedures
- Prepare, screen, and assess patients for MRI examinations
- Document patient information and reports in PACS and digital EMR
- Maintain equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition
Requirements:
- Current Ontario registration in valuable standing
- Accredited magnetic resonance imaging training completion
- Minimum three years Medical Radiation Technologist experience preferred
- Minimum one year MRI experience preferred
- Thorough MRI safety and MR physics knowledge
