Formulate and evaluate coatings as a full time Chemist with Cloverdale Paint in person at 6950 King George Boulevard, Surrey, BC. Collaborate with laboratory and production teams.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, this Chemist prepares experimental samples, improves existing formulations, monitors production batches, and evaluates materials for effectiveness and cost efficiency. The position requires Monday-to-Friday availability for 30-40 hours weekly. Cloverdale Paint is a Canadian family-owned coatings company with more than 75 stores and 150 authorized dealers. Your work supports formulation quality, manufacturing efficiency, and regulatory compliance across paint products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate new and existing materials for effectiveness and cost efficiencies
- Update formulations and manufacturing processes for efficiency and compliance




- Support Production with accurate, process-friendly formulations
- Coordinate with suppliers on raw materials and paint technology
- Maintain project records, equipment, SDS, and laboratory housekeeping

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent scientific field
- Two to three years of laboratory experience
- Paint manufacturing laboratory experience considered an asset
- Strong communication skills across teams and customers
- MS Office knowledge, detail orientation, and teamwork
