JobSummary&KeyResponsibilities;:
Providehigh-qualitycaretopatientsintheemergencydepartment,ensuringtimelydiagnosis,treatmentanddischarge(between40-60patientsper24-hourshift)
Collaboratewithnurses,specialists,andotherhealthcareprofessionalstodelivercomprehensivepatientcare
Maintainaccurateanddetailedpatientrecordsincompliancewithhospitalpoliciesandregulations
ParticipateintheongoingprofessionaldevelopmentandtrainingofvisitingmedicalstudentsandresidentsoftheNorthernOntarioSchoolofMedicine(NOSM),McMaster,UniversityofOttawaetc.
Supportin-patientunitovernight
Physiciansself-scheduletheir12-hourshifts,coveringdays,nightsandweekends

Requirements/Qualifications:
CurrentregistrationwithCollegeofPhysiciansandSurgeonsofOntario

ExperiencedandcomfortableworkingaloneinabusyEmergencyDepartment
Strongclinicalskillswiththeabilitytomanageawiderangeofmedicalemergencies
Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills
Commitmenttoprovidingcompassionateandpatient-centeredcare
Adherencetohospitalpolicies,procedures,CodeofConduct,by-lawsandorganizationalvalues
