Under the general supervision of the Land Use Plan Coordinator, the Conservation Planning Coordinator will provide planning and coordination support for species and habitat conservation initiatives and strategies. The incumbent will work closely with other department staff, technical advisors, the community and others to carry out the work.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Post-Secondary education in Biology, Environmental Science, or related discipline or a combination of education training and/or experience.
- A minimum of one (1) years of experience in project coordination.
- Experience working with First Nation communities and knowledge systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and succeed in a collaborative team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of the local Cree culture, community and ability to speak Cree would be an asset.
- Solid organizational and project coordination skills.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.




- Willingness to travel and work overtime.
- Satisfactory CPIC or proof of application.
- Valid class G driver’s license is required.

Duration: Permanent with 3 months probation
