Operate refuse vehicles and collection equipment as a Waste Collection Operator with the City of Windsor, working regular full-time shifts. Apply safe driving, equipment care, and physical collection skills across Environmental Division assignments.

This City of Windsor position supports multiple Environmental Division classifications, including refuse packers, Service Attendant, and Vacuum Sweeper Operator. The work includes driving, loading refuse, maintaining equipment, communicating with the public, and preparing daily reports. Shift work is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive refuse and service vehicles under minimum supervision
- Complete equipment checks, fueling, cleaning, and deficiency reporting
- Load refuse safely and operate hydraulic levers




- Operate vacuum street sweepers in difficult situations
- Set barricades, remove dead animals, and clean street debris

Requirements:

- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class D licence with Z endorsement
- More than one consecutive year driving DZ vehicles legally
- Complete daily work reports with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements
