This Cook I position supports the Nutrition Food Service team within Alberta Health Services. You will prepare meals from raw ingredients and precooked products, using established recipes and re-thermalization techniques. The work includes food assembly, serving menu items, meal delivery, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare multi-ingredient recipes from raw ingredients
Prepare meals using precooked products
Portion and assemble meals and beverages
Deliver and collect patient meal trays
Clean equipment and food preparation areas
Requirements: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Food Sanitation and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to lift 46 pounds and push meal carts
Ability to stand and walk throughout shifts
Bring cooking, portioning, sanitation, and patient-focused service skills to Alberta Health Services Food Services in Milk River.
