This Teaching Assistant position supports SYS5100/ELG4157, Section A, in the Faculty of Engineering. The School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation is seeking one assistant for the January 4 to April 30, 2027 session. Responsibilities include student contact, grading, proctoring, and other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities: Provide contact with students for 40 hours
Complete grading duties for 45 hours
Proctor examinations for 10 hours
Perform two hours of other assigned work
Attend a TA workshop if necessary
Requirements: Preferably completed this course or equivalent with A or better
Completed prerequisite courses with a mark of A or better
Prior knowledge of Up-to-date Control Engineering or Optimization Methods
Be ready for an interview if considered
Be available for assigned supervision or teaching responsibilities
Apply Systems Engineering knowledge, grading experience, and student support skills within the University of Ottawa’s Winter 2027 course.
