This Physiotherapy Assistant role supports residents in long-term care under Physiotherapist direction. You will lead exercises, document treatment progress, assist secure transfers, and monitor health changes. The position requires communication with elderly residents, supervisors, and teammates.
Key Responsibilities: Assist group exercises and lead assigned one-on-one exercises
Encourage residents toward planned treatment program goals
Document treatments and resident progress after each session
Assist walking, sitting, and safe resident transfers
Apply prescribed packs, ultrasound, TENS, and hot wax treatments
Requirements: Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent qualification
Excellent multitasking skills and pressure management
Strong communication with elderly residents and supervisors
Current Vulnerable Sector police check required
Valid two-step TB test or chest X-ray required
