Support Brandon University cleanliness through institutional cleaning and groundskeeping expertise in this full time Physical Plant position. Physical capability and a Class 5 driver’s license are required.
Reporting to the Director of Physical Plant, the Building Service Worker I maintains university facilities and grounds. The regular position includes floor care, carpet care, washroom cleaning, residence bed-making, snow removal, and furniture moving. Work supports overall cleanliness across Brandon University.
Key Responsibilities: Clean, buff, wax, and auto scrub floors
Perform carpet care and clean washrooms, walls, and windows
Remove snow and ice from university areas
Dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately
Maintain grounds and move furniture as assigned
Requirements: Grade 12 or GED preferred
Two years institutional cleaning and groundskeeping experience preferred
Physical ability for bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and ladder work
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Availability for early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends
